Nyssa was born and raised in sunny California, and relocated to rainy Portland to study animation and illustration at Pacific Northwest College of Art.
Nyssa spent 10 years in a Waldorf school, which left her with an enduring passion for watercolor and needlework. Her developed style reflects this background, often utilizing organically flowing colors, and intricate detail work. She is greatly inspired by mythologies and fables, with a heavy influence by the social aspect of narratives. Her resulting work is often both somber, and resolutely optimistic.
Over the course of her life Nyssa has worked at ArtStar studios, and more customer service jobs than she ever wants to remember.
